'Harvesting' hundreds of tilapia in the yard after heavy rain
Heavy rain for many days has caused some streets in Hai Phong to be heavily flooded, many families' fish have swum into the yard, creating an unprecedented rare scene.

On the morning of July 21, the family of Ms. Hoang Thi Hong Ngoc (in Phu Thuong Doan street, Dong Hai ward, Hai An district, Hai Phong city) woke up and was surprised to see a school of perch wriggling in the yard after a night of heavy rain.
Ms. Ngoc shared that since morning, her family members had been up in the rain and picked up a large batch of fish weighing about 5kg. Among them, many of the fish were quite large, plump and firm. “Since morning, my parents carried an umbrella and picked up all the fish until their arms were tired. There were not only perch but also catfish. I recorded a clip and posted it on Facebook, and my friends and relatives were extremely excited to see this strange sight,” Ms. Ngoc shared.

On Ms. Ngoc’s personal page, the clip recording the scene of a school of fish swimming in front of her house received many comments and shares. Many expressed surprise and said that this rare scene reminded them of their childhood in the countryside catching perch after heavy rains. Meanwhile, many people expressed their interest in thinking about dishes made from perch.
It is known that Ms. Ngoc's family has a pond in front of the door, which has been abandoned until now, and the family has not fished. Due to heavy rain, the water in the pond overflowed onto the road, and the fish swam up with the water. When the water receded, the fish got stuck behind the door, creating the above rare scene.
According to Ms. Ngoc, this is not the first time she has caught fish in the yard. Previously, her whole family "harvested" over 10kg of fish, so much that they had to share some with the neighbors.
