Top student dreams of becoming a lawyer
(Baonghean.vn) - In recent days, the small house located close to the hillside in Nghia Hanh commune, Tan Ky of pepper boy Nguyen Van Canh, a 12th grade student of C1, Tan Ky High School, is filled with laughter. Relatives, neighbors and friends continuously called to congratulate him when they heard that Canh had the highest total score of block C in Tan Ky district with 26.25 points, of which Literature scored 8.5 points, History scored 8.5 points and Geography scored 9.25 points, adding up to the regional score of 27.75 points.
Small in stature, Nguyen Van Canh is jokingly called the pepper boy by his friends and relatives. The owner of the "laurel wreath" smiled as he said that although he had heard the news that he had the highest score in the district's entrance exam for group C a few days ago, he still felt surprised. "After the exam, I felt that I did quite well even though this year's exam was not easy, but when I received the news that I had the highest score in group C in my district, I was very surprised," Canh shared.

Although he was a student specializing in block C, Canh studied well in all subjects. For many years, Canh was always an excellent student, and won second prize in the provincial excellent student competition in both History and Civic Education in grade 11.
Ms. Le Mai Hong - Canh's homeroom teacher - is very proud of her favorite student because, according to her, in addition to being a good student, Canh is also a very good student, a good student and very enthusiastic. In all lessons and class activities, if there is any problem, Canh is willing to discuss it frankly. In class, friends and teachers are always impressed with Canh because of his ability to "remember extremely well and argue extremely well" as the class monitor.
Explaining this, Canh said that when reading a document, he only needs to outline the main ideas in his head, then only needs to keep the most prominent and necessary information. "I wish to study law, people still tease me 'no one can argue with this lawyer'", Canh smiled and then jokingly added: "People say that on the outside I look thin and gentle, but every time I get upset about something, I argue a lot. At that time, I looked very fierce so people didn't dare to argue back".

To achieve the academic achievements he has today, Canh had to go through a process of hard training. Every day, in addition to studying in class, Canh sits at his desk from 6pm to 12am for Geography, from 12pm to 2am for Literature, then Canh sleeps until 5am and continues studying History until 6am.
Canh shared: “In my opinion, studying block C should not be done by rote, we need to understand the essence of each lesson and the most important thing is passion, not forcing ourselves. Among the subjects, I find Geography boring so I spend more time, when studying Geography, I need to combine it with a geography atlas to find it much more interesting, in Literature, I need to understand the nature and plot of the text, and have a solid grasp of the knowledge. With History, I study in the classical way, which is important events, I write the dates on papers and stick them everywhere”...

After school, Canh often herds buffalo to help his family. |
Unlike many young people who always find History "difficult to swallow", Canh is extremely fond of this subject. "I study History not only for exams, I study it because of passion", Canh said and added that, in addition to studying at school, he is also extremely fond of reading books, especially books related to Vietnamese and world history.
Canh's family is very poor, with 6 members, all three older sisters before Canh have a hard time farming. Canh's family depends on 3 sao of rice fields, his father's construction worker salary and his mother's money for shopping. Aware of his family's situation and loving his parents, Canh has learned to live independently since childhood and has always worked hard at housework and farming. "I know my parents have suffered a lot, so I will try to study well to be able to support my family in the future and make my dream come true," Canh smiled confidently.
