State budget revenue reaches highest level in the past 5 years

On the morning of January 10, the Ministry of Finance held an online conference of the national finance sector, assessing the tasks in 2019 and deploying solutions to implement the State budget and finance tasks in 2020. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc -Member of Politburo, Prime Ministerattended and directed the conference. Attending the conference were Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung; representatives of leaders of ministries and branches.

State budget revenue increased by 9.79%

In 2019, the entire Finance sector synchronously implemented many solutions to strive to complete assigned tasks: State budget revenue reached the highest level in the past 5 years, with more than 1,549 trillion VND, up 9.79% compared to the estimate, up 8.7% compared to 2018.

State budget expenditure management is proactively and actively implemented, promptly responding to spending tasks according to assigned estimates and important tasks.

In 2020, the estimated state budget revenue reached more than 1,512 trillion VND. Of which, domestic revenue was 1,264 trillion VND.

For Nghe An, the Department of Finance had an excellent year of completing its tasks. During the year, the total state budget revenue was 16,180 billion VND, reaching 119.9% ​​of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council and increasing by 15% over the same period in 2018.

Of which, domestic revenue was 14,546 billion VND, reaching 123.3% of the estimate, up 16% over the same period in 2018; excluding land use and lottery revenue, domestic revenue was 10,597 billion VND, reaching 112.6% of the estimate and up 17.9% over the same period in 2018.

Revenue from import and export activities reached 1,633.8 billion VND, reaching 96.1% of the estimate, equal to 104% compared to the same period in 2018. There were 13 revenue items reaching and exceeding the estimate, 2 revenue items reaching the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council.

Determined to complete financial and budgetary tasks

Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc warmly commended and highly appreciated the achievements of the entire Finance sector in implementing financial and budgetary tasks in 2019.

The Prime Minister emphasized that in 2020, the economy still faces many difficulties and challenges that will continue to affect the implementation of the political tasks of the entire sector. Therefore, the Finance sector needs to focus on directing the State budget revenue and expenditure drastically to complete and exceed the 2020 State budget estimate.

At the same time, it is recommended that the Finance sector and localities need to have a plan to get involved right from the first days and months, resolutely direct the collection work, ensure correct, full and timely collection of arising amounts according to regulations; tighten the management of collection, recovery of tax arrears, inspect and supervise commercial fraud, transfer pricing, etc.

Continue administrative reform, streamline the apparatus, and improve online tax declaration. Overcome shortcomings and limitations to perform better.
