Deputy Ministers of Defense of Vietnam and Laos offer flowers at Kim Lien Relic Site

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 29, delegations from Vietnam and Laos visited Kim Lien relic site to offer flowers and incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh.

Attending the ceremony, on the Lao side, there was Senior Lieutenant General Vilay Lakhamphong - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Lao People's Army.

On the Vietnamese side, there were Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense of the Vietnam People's Army, and Comrade Nguyen Ba Hung - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Laos.

On the side of the leaders of Military Region 4, there was Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of Military Region 4.

On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Respectfully offer a basket of fresh flowers and a stick of incense to commemorate the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the Party and people of Vietnam, national liberation hero, world cultural celebrity, who together with President Kaysone Phomvihane, Prince Souphanouvong and generations of leaders of the two parties, two states, armies and peoples of the two countries together fostered the special relationship between Vietnam-Laos, Laos-Vietnam.

On this occasion, the Government of the Lao PDR presented a memorial house to the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District. This house is imbued with Lao culture, a meaningful gift, expressing the special affection between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
