Russian and Chinese Deputy Foreign Ministers Discuss Situation Around Korean Peninsula
In Moscow on Monday, talks took place between the co-chairs of the Russia-China Permanent Security Dialogue in Northeast Asia - Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Igor Morgulov and Deputy Foreign Minister of China Kong Xuanyou.
"The latest developments around the Korean Peninsula were thoroughly discussed. The sides agreed to express support for the efforts of all countries concerned to maintain the open political and diplomatic process," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

In addition, special attention is paid to coordinating the implementation of the next steps in regulating the negotiation process, in order to ensure stability and security on the peninsula as well as throughout the Northeast Asia region.
Earlier, information from the US Embassy said that the US State Department's Special Envoy to North Korea, Mark Lambert, will visit Moscow from February 11-12 to discuss with Russian colleagues the issue of complete denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.
The second summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is scheduled to take place on February 27-28 in Hanoi.
