Prime Minister: Nghe An has many impressive jobs

(Baonghean.vn) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc assessed: 'Nghe An has done many impressive things in implementing the Government's new policies, and at the same time has many separate policies for the Western and coastal regions, Tet for the poor; taking land from agricultural and forestry farms to give to households that do not have land for production'.

That was the assessment content at the Government's online conference program with 63 provinces and cities on the afternoon of December 28. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Politburo member, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers chaired the conference.

Then, two major cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; and the provinces of Dong Nai, Khanh Hoa, Ha Nam, Quang Nam, Hai Phong, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Nghe An... discussed and presented the results achieved in 2016, key tasks in 2017, and at the same time proposed the Government to support and resolve a number of issues.

Nghe An prioritizes attracting potential investors and projects that create a lot of jobs in the area.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee reported on some contents on the results of implementing the socio-economic targets in 2016 with 25/27 main targets achieved and exceeded the set plan. The province has also innovated promotion work, strongly improved the investment environment, attracted many potential investors, many large projects from investors from Korea, Singapore, Thailand....

In the new rural construction, the province has had a policy to support cement to stimulate demand. Up to now, there are 149 communes meeting the standards, including 2 communes under the 30a program. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized that, in addition to implementing the Central's policies, the province has also issued a number of policies for mountainous people and ethnic minorities, including the policy of reclaiming land from farms and forestry farms to give to people for production; policies for agencies and units to register to help poor districts and communes...

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the impressive work of Nghe An province, especially in implementing new policies of the Government, and at the same time having separate policies for the Western and coastal regions, and Tet for the poor.

Besides, Nghe An also performed well in socio-economic, defense and security targets in 2016, paying attention to rural construction, in which it is commendable that 2 communes 30a met new rural standards; took land from agricultural and forestry farms and granted it to households that did not have land for production.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Government has acknowledged and will handle the situation to provide necessary support for Nghe An people affected by the marine environmental incident related to Formosa company.

Passion fruit is one of the main crops of the province.

Regarding the discussions of provinces and cities across the country, besides appreciating the efforts and determination of the cities and provinces, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc noted a number of issues that need to be learned from each locality in granting construction permits for many apartment buildings in the inner city, the causes of traffic congestion in cities; managing rehabilitation centers; being more determined in the policy of closing forests, and strictly handling violations.

Localities also need to promote business development; deploy and replicate community tourism models; pay attention to promoting hunger eradication and poverty reduction; and take care of planning and building social housing.

The Prime Minister emphasized: All provinces and cities in the country will be supported if they build high-tech zones, but they must not follow trends. He suggested that localities nationwide replicate the community tourism model in Hoi An.
