The first court in Nghe An held an online meeting to apply administrative measures.
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 7, the People's Court of Quy Hop district, Nghe An province, was the first court in the province to hold an online meeting to apply administrative measures to send 12 cases to compulsory drug rehabilitation facilities.
The organization was based on the request of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Quy Hop district and the People's Committees of some communes in Quy Hop district.
The meeting was held online between the People's Court of Quy Hop district and Compulsory Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 2 Nghe An (in Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district).
According to the representative of the People's Court of Nghe An province, in the past time, on average each year the People's Court at the district level of Nghe An province applied administrative measures to send about 1,500 cases to compulsory drug rehabilitation facilities, at 8 compulsory drug rehabilitation facilities in Nghe An.
The implementation process still has some problems and difficulties, such as escorting people proposed to apply compulsory drug rehabilitation measures to the Court to attend the meeting in the condition that the distance from the drug rehabilitation facility to the Court is relatively far, not all districts have them, in many cases the escort force has to leave early in the morning to ensure the meeting is on time, or send the proposed person to the wrong facilities when the meeting ends late. The work of protecting the meeting encounters many difficulties, while not all drug addicts comply with the territorial authority when the Court organizes the meeting at the drug rehabilitation facility... This content has been reported and proposed by the inter-sectoral agencies in Nghe An but has not been resolved.
Therefore, implementing the solution of organizing meetings to apply administrative measures at the Court online has overcome the above existing problems. It saves time and money when organizing at the Court headquarters.
Quy Hop District People's Court is the first unit to register to implement this, after Nghe An Provincial People's Court implemented the policy on online meetings.
In the coming time, the People's Courts at two levels will continue to coordinate with drug rehabilitation facilities in Nghe An province to implement this.
