According to RT on February 2, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the new 50 billion Euro aid package of the European Union (EU) just approved for Ukraine will not be spent on buying weapons, but will be used to ensure that Ukraine does not collapse.

Prime Minister Orban stressed that without the help of the US and EU, Ukraine's economy would collapse.

At the same time, the Hungarian leader expressed doubts that behind some EU decisions are not the interests of the union, but the interests of the United States. Prime Minister Orban is sure that the European Parliament elections next summer can change the composition of leaders - those who no longer serve the interests of European voters.

According to Prime Minister Orban, “peace will come when there is change in Europe”. The Hungarian Prime Minister noted that currently in European countries, the voices of “pro-American” governments that are building close relations with the United States are being heard more and more.

“From this I conclude that the US is putting pressure on European countries where Washington can. The views of Europe and the US are contradictory, and I have the feeling that some decisions in Brussels do not pursue European interests but those of the US,” said Hungarian Prime Minister Orban.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk expressed his opinion that the Hungarian Prime Minister is currently the only politician with a tough stance on Ukraine in the European Union.

Previously, President of the European Council Charles Michel said that the EU Summit on January 1 approved a long-term budget support program for Ukraine worth 50 billion Euros.
