Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attends the ASEAN - Russia Summit
The summit celebrating 20 years of ASEAN-Russia dialogue relations affirmed the increasing position of ASEAN with the active contribution of Vietnam.
On the afternoon of May 19 (Vietnam time), Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Government left Moscow, successfully concluding the official visit to the Russian Federation, to head to Sochi (Russia), to begin attending the Summit to celebrate 20 years of ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Relations at the invitation of Russian President Putin.

At around 1:30 p.m. (local time), or around 5:30 p.m. this afternoon (Hanoi time), Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the high-ranking delegation arrived in Sochi. Immediately afterward, the Prime Minister had a meeting with the Cambodian Prime Minister and the Indonesian President.
As planned, this evening (local time), Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will meet with President Putin of the Russian Federation. That same evening, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his delegation will attend a reception hosted by President Putin.

The summit to celebrate 20 years of ASEAN dialogue relations took place in the context of positive progress in relations between the two sides, contributing significantly to affirming the increasingly high role and position of ASEAN, including the active contribution of Vietnam.
The conference takes place over two days, today and tomorrow (May 20). This is an important event, promoting the relationship between the two sides as well as the special position of ASEAN in Russia's policy towards the Southeast Asia region./.
