After listening to the opinions and recommendations related to the areas of responsibility of the Deputy Prime Ministers, concluding the Conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that if localities, ministries and central branches do not innovate and integrate, do not change their integration mindset, it will be very difficult for the country.
The Prime Minister said that it is necessary to completely resolve the situation of "hot above, cold below" and create changes in the entire system for the 4.0 industrial revolution to be successful.
The head of the Government also requested ministries, branches and localities to seriously absorb the direction of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the conference, and at the same time directed to absorb the comments, quickly complete and immediately issue Resolution 01 of the Government on the main tasks and solutions to direct and implement the socio-economic development plan in 2018.
"It is necessary to issue it early for early, timely and effective implementation. Don't let the beginning of the year be leisurely and the end of the year be difficult," the Prime Minister emphasized.
Besides, citing the example of Lao Cai province streamlining 2 units but reducing 80 billion in annual regular expenditure, comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested localities to organize the implementation in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 6 of the Central Committee (term XII).
The Prime Minister also expressed his expectation that from the central to local levels, we will continue to reform outdated regulations, innovate institutions, improve the investment and business environment, enhance national and local competitiveness; dare to give up power, dare to conduct post-audits to create conditions for development.
Reiterating the spirit directed by the General Secretary, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc noted that economic development must go hand in hand with preserving the nation's culture. Along with that, the issues of educational development, examination reform, science and technology development, and effective implementation of Central resolutions on health, population, etc. must be raised in a synchronous manner, especially to solve the problem of re-poverty in areas and regions that have suffered from recent natural disasters.
The Prime Minister expects ministries, branches and localities to develop specific plans and targets, synchronously implement solutions and take drastic actions to effectively implement the 10-word motto set by the Government.
