Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presided over the welcoming ceremony for the Singaporean Prime Minister and his wife.
On the morning of March 26, at the Presidential Palace, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife Le Thi Bich Tran chaired a solemn welcoming ceremony for Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and his wife Loo Tze Lui, who led a high-ranking Singaporean delegation on an official visit to Vietnam.
When the motorcade carrying Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and his wife arrived at the Presidential Palace, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife came to the car door to welcome them.
After the warm handshakes between the two Prime Ministers, Hanoi children presented flowers and welcomed the Singaporean Prime Minister and his wife.


As the two Prime Ministers stepped onto the podium, under the national flags of the two countries, the national anthems of the two countries were solemnly played.
Afterwards, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh invited the Singaporean Prime Minister to review the honor guard of the Vietnam People's Army.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully introduced the members of the Vietnamese high-level delegation; Prime Minister Lawrence Wong introduced the Singaporean Government delegation.
Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, the two Prime Ministers chatted intimately and moved between two rows of flags from the Presidential Palace to the Government headquarters for talks.


Before the welcoming ceremony, the Singaporean Prime Minister laid a wreath at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street; laid a wreath and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
During the visit, Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will meet with senior Vietnamese leaders; attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park project and have a number of other activities.






Prime Minister Lawrence Wong's official visit to Vietnam takes place in the context that Vietnam and Singapore are promoting to realize the potential of cooperation within the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that the two sides have just upgraded during General Secretary To Lam's visit to Singapore.
The main content of General Secretary To Lam's recent visit to Singapore was to reaffirm the two countries' shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Therefore, the Singaporean Prime Minister's schedule in Vietnam also reflects this goal, at the same time, finding solutions so that Singapore and Vietnam can further strengthen their relationship to overcome difficulties together, enhance resilience and rise strongly.
