Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Indonesia to attend the ASEAN Leaders' Meeting.
This is Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's first overseas trip as head of the Government, affirming Vietnam's priority of tightening and consolidating solidarity and mutual support with ASEAN member countries.
At around 11am local time today, the plane carryingPrime Minister Pham Minh Chinhalong with the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, Indonesia, starting a visit and attending the ASEAN Leaders' Meeting, at the invitation of the 2021 ASEAN Chair, Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah.
Welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, Indonesia were Mr. Akio Alfiano Tamala, Director of Protocol Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia. Welcoming the Prime Minister and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation at the airport were also Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Pham Vinh Quang, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to ASEAN Nguyen Hai Bang and a number of staff from the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia.

According to the program, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will deliver an important speech at the ASEAN Leaders' Meeting, pay courtesy calls to Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah; hold bilateral meetings with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin; Lao Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh; and meet the three Prime Ministers of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos./.
