Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highlighted Vietnam's three messages of peace, stability and development at the expanded G7 Summit.

On the morning of May 21, within the framework of the expanded G7 Summit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and spoke at the Session "Towards a peaceful, stable and prosperous world".

Here, leaders discussed measures to promote global peace and stability, creating an important foundation for sustainable development and prosperity for all countries. The meeting was attended by G7 leaders and invited countries.

Vietnam will do its best to join hands to contribute to peace.

In his keynote speech at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highlighted Vietnam's three messages on peace, stability and development.

The first message the Prime Minister wants to convey is that ensuring a peaceful and stable environment for cooperation and development is both an essential foundation and the ultimate destination for sustainable development and prosperity around the world as well as in each country and region.

Peace is the ultimate goal of international cooperation and a common value of mankind; sustainable peace, rule of law and sustainable development have an organic and closely linked relationship.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam promotes a comprehensive approach to peace, security and development issues; peace is the foundation, solidarity and cooperation are the driving force, and sustainable development is the goal.

After many wars, thanks to peace, Vietnam has risen from a poor country to a middle-income country, aiming to become a developed, high-income country by 2045.

The Head of Government affirmed that Vietnam will do its utmost to join hands in contributing to peace, stability and sustainable development of humanity; wishes to end conflicts, not use or threaten to use nuclear weapons, respect sovereignty and territorial integrity, ensure food security, energy security and human security.

Sincerity, strategic trust and responsibility are of particular importance.

The second message emphasized by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is that the spirit of rule of law, respect for the United Nations Charter and international law, and settlement of all disputes by peaceful means must be promoted and implemented with specific commitments.

Vietnam calls on parties involved in all conflicts to resolve them through dialogue and negotiation to find long-term solutions, taking into account the legitimate interests of all parties.

"Vietnam does not choose sides but chooses righteousness, fairness, justice and reason," the head of government emphasized.

For the region, the Prime Minister hopes that the international community and partners will continue to support ASEAN's central role in building a peaceful, stable, cooperative and self-reliant region.

Accordingly, countries strictly implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC) and move towards achieving a substantive, effective Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC) in accordance with international law, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS 1982).

The Prime Minister requested that all parties exercise restraint and not take actions that complicate the situation and violate the sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction of the relevant countries established by UNCLOS 1982.

In his third message, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that sincerity, strategic trust and a sense of responsibility are of particular importance in addressing current global challenges. For Vietnam, these values ​​are demonstrated through the consistent implementation of a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, diversification, multilateralization, being a good friend, a reliable partner, and an active and responsible member of the international community.

G7 leaders and guests affirmed their commitment to working together to address challenges and restrain the escalation of tensions at geopolitical hotspots around the world.

The speeches emphasized the spirit of international cooperation and solidarity playing a fundamental role in ensuring an environment of peace, stability and sustainable development and called on countries to uphold a free and open international order based on the principle of the rule of law and compliance with the United Nations Charter.

The meeting highly appreciated ASEAN's central role in the region; emphasized the need to maintain peace, stability and cooperation in the East Sea and reaffirmed the viewpoint of resolving disputes by peaceful means, in accordance with international law UNCLOS 1982.

Hiroshima wants to accept more Vietnamese people to study and work.

Receiving Governor of Hiroshima Prefecture Yuzaki Hidehiko on the same morning, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his admiration for the efforts and aspirations for peace of generations of leaders and people of Hiroshima Prefecture.

This has helped turn Hiroshima from a place that suffered the heavy consequences of World War II into a strongly and comprehensively developed locality, among the top 10 most developed localities in Japan.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the Governor of Hiroshima Prefecture to further promote cooperative relations with Vietnamese localities.

In particular, the two sides can cooperate in the fields of investment, human resource development cooperation, and people-to-people exchange in the context that the two sides have just announced a direct flight between Hanoi and Hiroshima.

In particular, Hiroshima encourages businesses to invest in Vietnam in the province's strengths, suitable to Vietnam's needs such as digital transformation, green transformation, climate change response, processing, manufacturing, smart agricultural applications, wastewater treatment, electronic component manufacturing, etc.

Governor Yuzaki Hidehiko emphasized that the visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to Hiroshima and the laying of wreaths at the Peace Memorial is an affirmation of support for a peaceful world without nuclear weapons.

Talking about the cooperation between Hiroshima and Vietnam in recent times, the Governor said that the province has cooperated with Vietnam very early and affirmed the desire to strengthen cooperation, investment and trade with localities of Vietnam. Hiroshima wants to welcome more Vietnamese people to study and work in the province.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh invited the Governor of Hiroshima and leaders of Hiroshima prefecture to visit Vietnam this year, the year marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
