Prime Minister decides to extend support time for fishermen and salt farmers in 4 central provinces
The Prime Minister has just issued Decision 1138/QD-TTg dated June 25, 2016 amending and supplementing Article 1 of Decision 772/QD-TTg.May 9, 2016 on emergency support for fishermen in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue affected by the phenomenon of unusual seafood deaths.
Accordingly, amend and supplement Clause 2, Clause 4, Article 1 of Decision 772/QD-TTg dated May 9, 2016 of the Prime Minister on emergency support for people in the provinces of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue affected by the phenomenon of unusual seafood deaths:
1/ Amend and supplement Clause 2, Article 1 as follows:
“Support 15 kg of rice/person/month for a maximum of 6 months for members of the ship owner's household and the workers' households on fishing vessels in coastal and offshore areas without engines or with engines with a capacity of less than 90 CV, salt-working households and households providing fishing logistics services directly affected”.
2/ Amend Clause 4, Article 1 as follows:
“4. Enterprises, warehouse owners, and fishing logistics service vessels that have purchasing and fishing logistics service activities are allowed to borrow credit capital from credit institutions designated by the State Bank of Vietnam with the lowest interest rate applied to priority sectors, short term, and are supported by the State budget with 100% interest rate for a maximum storage period of 6 months to purchase and store seafood from May 5 to July 5, 2016”.
Thus, compared to Decision 772, Decision 1138 of the Prime Minister has the following new points: (i) Increasing the rice support period from 1.5 months to a maximum of 6 months; (ii) adding the support object to be salt-working households; and (iii) extending the time for purchasing and temporarily storing seafood with interest support by 1 month.
Decision 1138 takes effect from the date of signing.
The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and provincial People's Committees to proactively resolve difficulties and problems in the implementation process and promptly report to the Prime Minister on issues beyond their authority./.
