According to the announcement on the afternoon of August 2 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the handling of the resignation application of Deputy Minister Ho Thi Kim Thoa is under the authority of the Prime Minister to consider and decide.
At noon on August 2, the Ministry of Industry and Trade officially announced that on July 28, 2017, Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, submitted a resignation letter for personal reasons to the ministry's leaders.
The Ministry believes that according to current regulations, the handling of Deputy Minister Ho Thi Kim Thoa's resignation request is under the authority of the Prime Minister to consider and decide after receiving opinions from the Secretariat and relevant agencies.
At the same time, the ministry also sent a document reporting to competent authorities to consider and resolve the petition of Deputy Minister Ho Thi Kim Thoa.
"After receiving instructions from competent authorities, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will organize implementation," informed a representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Thus, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ms. Thoa submitted her resignation before the Central Inspection Committee announced the conclusion of the review and disciplinary action against Ms. Thoa due to her violations and shortcomings that occurred during her tenure as Party Secretary, Director of Dien Quang Light Bulb Company, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and General Director of Dien Quang Light Bulb Joint Stock Company (from January 2004 to May 2010).
