Secretary General of the National Assembly Bui Van Cuong said that the National Assembly Standing Committee has met and agreed to list 5 ministers and heads of sectors corresponding to hot issues of concern to voters and people. The National Assembly Standing Committee will then submit to the National Assembly for National Assembly deputies to vote to select 4 ministers and heads of sectors according to the percentage of votes from high to low to question and answer questions.
“Initially, a list of 12 ministers and heads of sectors corresponding to 12 issues of concern to voters and the people was proposed. After consulting with the Ethnic Council, Committees and agencies of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee considered and voted to select 6 ministers and heads of sectors, and continued to vote to select 5 ministers and heads of sectors to participate in questioning and answering questions. From the 5 ministers and heads of sectors, the National Assembly Standing Committee continued to present to the National Assembly for National Assembly deputies to vote to select 4 ministers and heads of sectors to participate in questioning and answering questions,” said Secretary General of the National Assembly Bui Van Cuong.
After the ministers and heads of sectors answer questions from the National Assembly deputies, the National Assembly will set aside 1 hour for the Prime Minister to report, explain and answer questions from the National Assembly deputies.
According to Secretary General of the National Assembly Bui Van Cuong, groups of issues related to the fields of: Labor, war invalids and social affairs; health; education and training; planning and investment; industry and trade; culture, sports and tourism; public security; information and communications; natural resources and environment; agriculture and rural development; transportation; banking, finance... are all under the consideration of delegates.
However, this session needs to question the Ministers of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Health, Education and Training, Industry and Trade, Planning and Investment, and Transport. Because at the present time, the activities of these ministries and sectors are directly related to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and economic recovery.
Each ministry will select the group of issues that voters and delegates are most interested in to question, but special attention needs to be paid to coordination to avoid disruption of the supply chain and to remove difficulties for people and businesses.
