(Baonghean.vn) - Speaking at the Government's online conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that the working spirit and attitude of a number of cadres, civil servants and public employees are still corrupt, negative or negligent, and procrastinate in their work; the situation of saying good things but doing bad things, doing things slowly, with low responsibility, even going around in circles, making people wait still exists.

Find solutions to overcome the shortcomings
On the morning of July 4, the Government held a national online conference to assess the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2019.
Chairing the conference at the Government bridge were comrades Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Politburo member, Prime Minister; Truong Hoa Binh - Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government and Deputy Prime Ministers: Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member; Pham Binh Minh; Vu Duc Dam; Trinh Dinh Dung.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed that, in addition to the achieved results, there are still many problems arising in each ministry and central sector, especially in localities.
These are the shortcomings and limitations in regional coordination mechanisms, urban development planning, industrial zones, land auctions, management and use of public assets, forest resources, illegally exploited sand, gravel, etc.

Some cultural and social issues that cause public opinion include cheating in exams, cultural ethics, school violence, child abuse, child drowning, drug trafficking, and many serious traffic accidents.
The working spirit and attitude of the majority of cadres, civil servants and public employees show a lot of effort and responsibility, but there is still a part that is corrupt, negative or negligent, and procrastinates in their work; the situation of saying good but doing bad, doing slow, low responsibility, even going around in circles, making people wait still exists.

At the same time, ministries, branches and localities also need to think about and come up with policies and solutions to quickly and effectively handle existing problems and limitations, resolutely not let problems drag on, and strive to comprehensively complete the socio-economic targets assigned by the National Assembly.
The economy continues to grow
After the Prime Minister's speech, the conference heard a report on the socio-economic situation and the Government's direction and management in the first 6 months of the year and tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of the year. Leaders of a number of provinces and cities across the country also discussed some difficulties and problems and proposed solutions for the Government.

The national economy in the first 6 months of the year continued to maintain a positive growth momentum, reaching 6.76%. The macro economy was stable, inflation was controlled at a low level, with an average 6-month increase of 2.64% over the same period in 2018, the lowest average 6-month increase in the past 3 years. Social security and care for people's lives continued to be ensured; comprehensive development of the fields of culture, society, information and communication; environmental protection, proactive prevention of natural disasters, and effective response to climate change were strengthened. Foreign affairs achieved many positive results. Political security and social order were stable.
The key tasks for the last 6 months of 2019 have been specifically identified. These are to continue to adhere to the goal of stabilizing the macro economy, promoting economic restructuring, restructuring sectors, improving growth quality and strengthening the economy's resilience to unpredictable fluctuations in the world and regional economies.
Continue to improve the investment and business environment; boost import and export growth; strengthen quality management, speed up construction progress and disbursement of projects, especially key, large-scale, and influential projects.
Promote the application of information technology in the management and provision of public services and in the direction and administration of the Government; strengthen information and propaganda work towards openness, transparency, timeliness and effectiveness.
