Promoting cooperation with Japan on labor export

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his agreement with Vietnam-Japan Special Ambassador Ryotaro Sugi on Vietnam and Japan promoting stronger cooperation in the field of labor export.

On the afternoon of September 20, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received Vietnam-Japan Special Ambassador Ryotaro Sugi who is visiting and working in Vietnam.

At the reception, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc was pleased to note that in recent times, the Vietnam-Japan strategic relationship has made strong, extensive and substantial developments in all areas of cooperation; political trust has been increasingly strengthened, creating a foundation for sincere cooperation in the spirit of mutual benefit, and exchanges at all levels between the two countries have been enhanced.

Expressing his delight at meeting Ambassador Ryotaro Sugi, a great friend of the Vietnamese people, the Prime Minister said that the Vietnamese Government and people highly appreciate the Ambassador's contributions over the past 30 years through meaningful activities, especially in the fields of culture, arts, people-to-people exchange, and humanitarian activities. The Ambassador's activities have, are, and will continue to contribute positively to enhancing mutual understanding of the people and culture of Vietnam and Japan, creating a solid foundation for consolidating the close and sustainable friendly cooperation between the people of the two countries.

The Prime Minister hopes and believes that in the coming time, with his prestige, the Ambassador will continue to have many initiatives and practical activities towards the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations in 2018. Thereby, actively contributing to promoting the extensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, especially in the fields of culture, arts, people-to-people exchange, cooperation between localities of the two countries and promoting the image of Vietnam in Japan, as well as the image of Japan in Vietnam.

Also at the meeting, the Prime Minister hoped that more and more Japanese enterprises would invest in Vietnam. The Vietnamese Government would create all conditions for Japanese enterprises to do business in Vietnam. The Prime Minister emphasized that most Japanese enterprises are operating very successfully in Vietnam, serving as a bridge to promote more economic and trade cooperation, bringing benefits to the countries and people of the two countries.

The Prime Minister also expressed his agreement with the Ambassador on Vietnam and Japan promoting cooperation in the field of labor export more strongly.

For his part, Ambassador Ryotaro Sugi expressed his pleasure at meeting Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc for the first time since the Prime Minister was elected by the National Assembly to the position of head of the Vietnamese Government. At the same time, he affirmed that with his love for the country and people of Vietnam, over the past 28 years, the Ambassador has always strived to further promote the relationship between Japan and Vietnam.

Ambassador Ryotaro Sugi assessed that Vietnam's development potential, as well as the potential for cooperation between Japan and Vietnam in all economic, political and cultural fields, is still very large and hopes that in the development process, Vietnam will continue to promote cooperation with Japan to become increasingly in-depth and practical.

The Ambassador said that the Japanese people are very close to the Vietnamese people, therefore, the two countries have more basis to further strengthen the friendly relationship between Japan and Vietnam through cooperation and cultural exchange.

In Japan, Vietnamese workers are highly appreciated, including nursing jobs, so the two sides can promote cooperation and promote sending Vietnamese workers to work in Japan, the Ambassador said.
