US Senate rejects attempt to 'overturn' Arizona electoral votes
With 93 votes in favor and 6 votes against, the US Senate rejected the objection to Arizona's electoral votes for Mr. Biden. Arizona, with 11 electoral votes, is one of the battleground states in the 2020 US presidential election.
If any objection is made in writing and signed by at least one member of the House and one member of the Senate, the joint session of Congress will adjourn, and the House and Senate will meet separately to consider and vote on the matter. After the vote, Congress will return to the joint session and continue counting the electoral votes.
