US Senate prepares bill against 'Nord Stream - 2'
The US Senate may pass a bill imposing sanctions on companies involved in laying offshore pipelines in Russia, primarily Nord Stream 2, Foreign Policy magazine reported, referring to a copy of the preliminary draft of the bill.

The bill was prepared by Republican Senator Ted Cruz and Democratic Senator Jeanne Shahin. The bill includes a ban on entry into the United States for those who sell or lease vessels involved in the construction of Nord Stream 2.
Senators proposed to pay special attention to the activities of two construction companies - Swiss Allseas and Italian Saipem, which are laying pipes for "Nord Stream -2".
