Hydropower plant in Nghe An announced flood discharge after storm No. 4

(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - Search and Rescue of Nghe An province, relevant units have announced the operation of flood discharge at Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir (Xa Luong Commune, Tuong Duong District) and Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir (Ta Ca Commune, Ky Son District).

The announcement said that due to the impact of storm No. 4, from August 30, 2019 to September 2, 2019, Nghe An will have heavy to very heavy rain, with total rainfall likely to reach from 250mm to 400mm.

To ensure the plant operates safely in accordance with the inter-reservoir operation process approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Companies have planned to discharge floodwaters, expected to start at 2:00 p.m. on August 30, 2019.
