Song Quang Hydropower Plant (Que Phong) announces flood discharge
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to heavy rain in the area, the water flow to the reservoir has increased and is expected to exceed the normal water level. To ensure the safety of the reservoir, starting from 9:10 p.m. tonight (August 6), Song Quang Hydropower Plant, Que Phong will discharge floodwater.
At 5:20 p.m. on August 6, the Standing Office of the CommandDisaster prevention and control - Search and rescueand the Provincial Civil Defense Department received Notice No. 0608/2022/TB-SQ dated August 6, 2022 of Song Quang Hydropower Joint Stock Company on the operation of the Song Quang Hydropower Reservoir discharge project, Chau Thon Commune, Que Phong District.

Specifically: On the afternoon of August 6, 2022, there was rain, moderate rain, and sometimes heavy rain in the reservoir basin of Song Quang Hydropower Plant. The water flow into the reservoir is increasing and is expected to exceed the normal water level of 526.0m.
To ensure the operation and regulation of reservoir waterSong Quang Hydropower PlantTo ensure safety in accordance with the Process approved by the Provincial People's Committee and in accordance with the hydrological situation at the project, Song Quang Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to operate and regulate the Song Quang Hydropower Reservoir as follows:
1. Estimated time of regulation operation:Starting from 21:10 on August 6, 2022.
2. Expected discharge flow:From 30 m3/s- 90 m3/s (including discharge flow through the valve gate, flow through the spillway and power generation flow through the generators).
3. Discharge end time:Until the flood is over.
