(Baonghean.vn) - That is one of the contents of the National Reporters Conference in March 2023 in online form organized by the Central Propaganda Department on the morning of March 9.

At the conference, delegates listened to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky - Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts inform about the topic "Identifying and building the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and standards of Vietnamese people in the new period".

Inheriting and developing the Party's guiding ideological viewpoints through previous Congresses and Central Conferences on the cultural field, the Party's 13th Congress Document continued to emphasize the requirement: "Focus on researching, identifying and implementing the construction of a national value system, a cultural value system and Vietnamese human standards associated with preserving and developing the Vietnamese family value system in the new period".

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky, the national value system can be identified as consisting of the core values of Peace - Unity - Independence - Rich People - Strong Country - Democracy, Justice - Civilization - Happiness. The cultural value system consists of 4 values: Nation - Humanity - Democracy and Science. Regarding the value system of Vietnamese people, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky proposed 9 core values: Patriotism - Solidarity - Courage - Creativity - Self-reliance - Affection - Honesty - Responsibility - Discipline. The Vietnamese family value system has 11 values: Patriotism - Love for people - Respect for elders - Compliance with the law - Creative labor - Overcoming difficulties - Equality - Warmth - Happiness - Progress - Civilization.

The conference also heard Senior Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Xuan Chien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense inform about the topic "Outstanding results of international integration and defense diplomacy in recent times; orientations for the coming time".

Since the 13th National Party Congress, the world situation has continued to evolve rapidly, complexly and unpredictably. Peace, cooperation and development remain the major trends, but are facing more severe challenges and major changes. In this context, foreign affairs with three pillars: Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and People's diplomacy play a very important role in the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In 2022, international integration and defense diplomacy achieved many important achievements. Border diplomacy continued to be a bright spot, when the Ministry of National Defense successfully organized two Border Exchange events: the 7th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange and the 1st Vietnam-Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange.

On the multilateral level, we continue to affirm the prestige and position of the country and the Vietnam People's Army in the region and in the international arena by actively and proactively participating and proposing initiatives at regional and international multilateral defense cooperation forums, especially within the framework of ASEAN, such as the 16th ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting, the 9th ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting Plus, etc.

The Ministry of National Defense has also presided over the organization of many large and important defense foreign affairs activities, which were implemented for the first time, leaving good impressions on international partners and friends, including the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2022; the Exchange Program "Vietnam Coast Guard and Friends". Recently, the sending of a delegation of officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army to Türkiye to participate in humanitarian assistance and earthquake disaster relief was highly appreciated by the international community.

In the coming time, the world and regional situation will continue to change rapidly, complicatedly and very unpredictably. The Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense determined that it is necessary to continue to innovate and be creative, both advising and synchronously implementing policies and solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of defense diplomacy work, firmly protecting the Fatherland, and avoiding being passive or surprised in any situation.

Concluding the Conference, Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department oriented some more key contents in the propaganda work in the coming time, such as propaganda on the campaign for Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese goods, organizing to collect public opinions on the Draft Law on Land Amendment, propaganda on Decree No. 07/2023/ND-CP of the Government on the management of medical equipment. Along with that, focusing on propaganda on major holidays and important political events such as the 80th anniversary of the birth of "Outline on Vietnamese Culture", 110th anniversary of the birth of General Chu Huy Man (March 17, 1913 - March 17, 2023), 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2023)./.
