Continue to coordinate to improve the effectiveness of propaganda about sea, islands and borders in the new period

In 2021-2022, despite many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the world situation, the Naval Region 1 Command and the Propaganda Departments of localities have closely coordinated to effectively carry out propaganda work on seas, islands, and borders.

The Naval Region 1 Command and localities focused on propagating the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and State in resolving issues related to sea, islands and borders; the legal and historical basis affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

At the same time, promptly disseminate information and new developments on the situation of seas, islands and borders; mobilize cadres and people of localities to participate in building and protecting the sovereignty of seas, islands and national borders; propagate and mobilize resources to participate in building an increasingly elite and strong Navy force... Thereby contributing to raising awareness, responsibility, building trust, affection, attention and support from all levels, sectors and people of all walks of life; contributing both materially and spiritually, creating a combined strength for the cause of firmly protecting the sovereignty of seas, islands and sacred borders of the Fatherland.

In Nghe An, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department actively and proactively implemented all contents in the plan for coordinating propaganda work on seas, islands and borders in many new, creative and flexible ways, closely combining propaganda forms with practical activities.

The Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee coordinated with the Naval Region 1 Command to organize a propaganda conference and talk about the sea and islands at a number of high schools in Vinh city, Cua Lo town, Hung Nguyen district, Quynh Luu district, Dien Chau district... in conjunction with organizing extracurricular activities with the theme of the sea, islands of the Fatherland and Navy soldiers.

At the same time, the Provincial Border Guard organized propaganda about the sea, islands and borders for tens of thousands of officers, soldiers and people in the border area; the Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union to present hundreds of national flags to fishermen who legally went out to sea to catch seafood in the territorial waters of the Fatherland...

In the past 2 years, the Naval Region 1 Command and the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committees in the cluster have also coordinated to organize many activities towards the sea, islands, and borders, accompanying, supporting, and encouraging Navy officers and soldiers and Border Guard officers and soldiers. Typical examples include the campaigns "Sentimentality towards the borders and islands", "Journey for the homeland's seas and islands", and building the Fund "For the homeland's seas and islands"...

At the conference, the Naval Region 1 Command and the Propaganda Department of the 6 Provincial Party Committees signed a Plan for coordination in propaganda on seas, islands and borders in 2023. Accordingly, the units will continue to strengthen coordination in implementing propaganda contents; continue to innovate, improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda on seas, islands and borders. In particular, continue to improve the effectiveness of propaganda work, fight against bad, toxic information, false information, distorted and destructive arguments of hostile forces and political opportunists.
