Application of science and technology in production and life

In 2024, the tasks of Nghe An's science and technology sector will be widely deployed, highly applicable and will be the basis for orienting the local socio-economic development.
Accordingly, in 2024, there will be 5 national projects, 57 provincial projects and topics implemented; nearly 160 technical processes will be received, mastered and developed. Research and application of science and technology will continue to prioritize 6 key areas: Agriculture, medicine, social sciences and humanities, science and technology and information technology, environment, socio-economic development of districts, cities and towns.
Notably, science and technology have contributed to improving the efficiency of agricultural production: Applying new varieties, varieties with high productivity, good quality and high disease resistance; actively promoting linkages in production, production according to product value chains; Gene sources of many rare crops and livestock have been preserved, exploited and developed...

In the field of medical science, many scientific and technical advances have been applied. In the field of science, society and humanities, it has provided scientific and practical arguments for planning policies of the province. At the same time, the field of science, engineering and information technology has been focused on, many research results and applications have supported industries and businesses to accelerate digital transformation and improve the efficiency of management activities.

Activities of technology appraisal, equipment innovation, application of quality management systems, and registration of industrial property rights are of interest. Innovation and creative start-up activities have achieved many remarkable results, and are considered one of the best creative start-up ecosystems in the country.
District-level science and technology activities have applied new research results to production and life fields, improving product value and increasing people's income.

At the conference, delegates discussed and shared to clarify existing limitations; analyzed the causes. In particular, discussed the goals and tasks of science and technology in 2025.
Accordingly, continue to thoroughly grasp and well implement the Resolutions, policies and guidelines of the Party, State and province on science and technology at all levels and sectors.
Continue to strongly innovate in the organization of science and technology, focusing on implementing plans to reorganize the apparatus according to the policies of the Central and local governments; increase investment and innovate investment methods for science and technology; apply research results and disseminate scientific and technological knowledge.

Continue to carry out scientific and technological activities towards commercializing research results; Develop the science and technology market; Strengthen strong innovation in state management of science and technology; Improve the capacity for science and technology communication;
Coordinate with relevant agencies to promote digital transformation, innovation, and high technology; Strengthen support for connections with businesses and technical centers of districts to replicate models of science and technology application; Focus on developing science and technology potential to absorb and master advanced technology and equipment, etc.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, comrade Bui Dinh Long congratulated the achievements of the province's Science and Technology sector in the past year; at the same time, pointed out the shortcomings of the sector that need to be overcome.
He emphasized that 2025 is an important year in implementing the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels and the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2025-2030. Therefore, science and technology activities need to focus on implementing the Resolutions, policies and guidelines of the Party and State on science and technology.
