USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 12: Central exchange rate remains unchanged
In the world market, the USD Index (DXY) fell to 97.81 points. The USD is under pressure as investors await further signals from US monetary policy and upcoming inflation data.
As of 4:00 p.m. on September 12, the State Bank announced the central USD exchange rate at 25,221 VND/USD, unchanged from yesterday. With a band of ±5%, the ceiling exchange rate that banks are allowed to list is 26,482 VND/USD and the floor exchange rate is 23,960 VND/USD.
At the State Bank of Vietnam, the reference exchange rate was maintained at 24,010 VND/USD (buy) and 26,432 VND/USD (sell).
Domestically, USD transactions at commercial banks are quite stable. At Vietcombank, the exchange rate is currently at 26,162 - 26,482 VND/USD (buy - sell).
VietinBank announced the buying price at 26,219 VND/USD and the selling price at 26,482 VND/USD. BIDV also listed the same price, with the buying price at 26,215 VND/USD and the selling price at 26,482 VND/USD.
While the domestic exchange rate has been stable, the international market remains volatile due to US economic data and global trade tensions. Analysts predict that the greenback could face further pressure if US inflation continues to cool, opening up the possibility of easing monetary policy.
Pepper price today September 12, 2025: Vietnam's pepper exports skyrocket
Pepper prices today in key growing areas have dropped sharply compared to yesterday. As a result, the domestic pepper price level is from 148,000 VND/kg to 152,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak decreased sharply by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 152,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Gia Lai decreased by 1000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 149,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper price today in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is currently at 151,000 VND/kg, down 1000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Dong Nai decreased 1000 VND/kg compared to yesterday at 151,000 VND/kg.

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has updated the prices of pepper of all types traded in the international market on September 12 (local time) as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices decreased slightly compared to yesterday at USD 7,074/ton (down 0.07%). In addition, Muntok white pepper prices decreased slightly compared to yesterday at USD 10,024/ton (down 0.07%).
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,500/tonne.
Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,900/ton.
Prices of all types of pepper in Vietnam increased sharply compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton (up 5.45%); 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton (up 6.32%).
In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price increased sharply compared to yesterday, reaching 9,250 USD/ton (up 1.08%).
Coffee price today 9/12/2025: Strong increase domestically
Domestic coffee prices today, September 12, 2025 in the Central Highlands region increased sharply compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 116,000 - 116,900 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 116,900 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 116,800 VND/kg, an increase of 2,300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by VND2,400/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND116,700/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices increased by VND2,500/kg compared to yesterday and are at VND116,000/kg.
On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery reached $4,693/ton, up 2.31% ($106/ton) from yesterday. The November 2025 futures contract fell 0.49% ($22/ton) to $4,455/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery decreased by 0.26% (1.1 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 399.9 US cents/pound. The contract for December 2025 delivery decreased by 0.51% (2 US cents/pound), to 384.9 US cents/pound.
On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in September 2025 increased by 0.21% (1.05 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, reaching 500 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 0.19% (0.95 US cents/pound), reaching 471.2 US cents/pound.
Rubber price today 9/12/2025: Shanghai floor drops sharply
In Singapore, the price of rubber futures for October 2025 decreased by 0.28% (0.5 USD/ton) compared to yesterday, to 173.8 USD/ton. The contract for November 2025 decreased by 0.39% (0.7 USD/ton), reaching 174.3 USD/ton.
At the opening of the trading session on September 12, in China, the price of rubber futures for September 2025 on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) decreased by 0.43% (60 yuan) to 13,985 yuan/ton. The price of rubber futures for October 2025 decreased by 0.6% (85 yuan) to 13,995 yuan/ton.
