Nghe An Provincial Youth Union ranked 4th in the national emulation movement.

On the afternoon of December 27, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held a conference to review the work of the Youth Union and youth movement in 2019 and deploy tasks for 2020.

In 2019, with the theme "Year of Youth Volunteers", the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has implemented the Youth Union's work program and youth movements from the province to the grassroots with many practical, widespread and highly effective activities and movements. The movements and activities of the Youth Union are increasingly becoming more substantial, effective, clear, specific, with many innovations and creativity, attracting high consensus and support from Party committees, authorities at all levels and public opinion.

Many typical models and activities such as: Meeting with 480 Youth Union Secretaries of communes, wards and towns in the area; Deploying "The 2nd Journey of Tires"; Young intellectual volunteer team transferring agricultural science and technology to youth; Saying no to plastic waste; Taking on the responsibility of helping poor students; Safe school gates;...

However, the quality of the Youth Union and youth movement activities in the past year still had certain limitations, the quality of activities was not uniform, leading to low performance results in some units. The implementation of the theme "Year of Youth Volunteers" in some units was not clear, there were not many innovative ways, and new values ​​in volunteer activities were not established.

At the conference, delegates evaluated the results achieved, drew lessons, promoted strengths, overcame limitations, proposed directions for implementing tasks in 2020 and made achievements to welcome Party Congresses at all levels.

In 2019, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union was one of 8 units honored to be awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President for their outstanding achievements in the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Nghe An Provincial Youth Union ranked 4th in the national emulation movement and was awarded the Emulation Flag for Excellent Unit by the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union.

In 2020, the Provincial Youth Union set out 5 key tasks and 16 targets with the theme of the year: "Nghe An Youth proudly marches forward under the Party flag"; welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels and the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress. This is an opportunity for the Youth Union members to affirm their role and position as the Party's right-hand man and reliable reserve force, affirming the responsibility of the young generation in Party building work.

On this occasion, the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union awarded Emulation Flags to 4 outstanding units in the Youth Union work and youth movement of the Armed Forces, Residential Areas, and Agencies; and awarded Certificates of Merit to 38 collectives and 25 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Youth Union work and youth movement in 2019.

The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in the National Youth Informatics Competition and the National Informatics Competition for Young Civil Servants in 2019; the 3rd National Reporter Festival in 2019; and the English Olympic for Young Officials in 2019.
