Nghe An Province and Military Region 4: Continue to coordinate and effectively carry out local military tasks

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province and Major General Tran Vo Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Military Region 4 chaired the conference.

Attending the conference, on behalf of the leaders of Military Region 4, there were: Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh - Commander of Military Region 4; Major General Ha Tho Binh - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 4; Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4; Major General Ha Tan Tien - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4; Major General Tran Minh Thanh - Chief of Politics of Military Region 4.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial People's Committee Office, the Provincial Police, and the Border Guard of Nghe An province.

The report assessing the results of coordination in directing military and defense tasks stated: In the first 6 months of 2019, Military Region 4 and Nghe An Provincial Party Committee regularly directed all levels, sectors and armed forces in the province to organize dissemination and strict implementation of documents related to military and defense tasks.

Military Region 4 and Nghe An Provincial Party Committee have directed functional forces to grasp and accurately assess cases and matters to advise the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee on how to effectively handle complex disputes and complaints in specific areas; guide functional forces to effectively develop plans to protect key targets, industrial zones with foreign elements, political activities and strictly maintain the on-duty regime and combat readiness throughout the province.

In order to carry out their tasks, military forces at all levels in Nghe An have proactively organized adjustments and supplements to defensive combat plans, drills, and training for the subjects in accordance with the requirements... State management of national defense, defense works, defense land, construction of defense works, social policy work, policies for people with meritorious services, as well as resolving regimes and policies for the subjects have always been focused on in the right direction by the Party Committees at all levels of Nghe An province.

In the last 6 months of 2019, the Party Committee of Military Region 4 and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee agreed to set out 10 key tasks, including: Continuing to thoroughly grasp the Resolutions of the Party at all levels on military and defense tasks; Effectively implementing the coordination regulations between military, police and border forces; Timely adjusting and supplementing defense determination and combat readiness in accordance with the new situation; Focusing on ensuring border security, special areas, improving the effectiveness of economic projects combined with defense tasks in border areas and key areas.

All levels, sectors, units and forces organize education and training on national defense and security knowledge for subjects to ensure quality; Promote the building of militia and self-defense forces and reserve mobilization forces to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation; Strengthen state management of national defense: Direct the improvement of training quality, organize defense drills close to the actual situation in districts and towns; Improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees, attach the responsibility of setting an example to cadres and party members in performing military and national defense work in accordance with regulations.
