Nghe An province requires police to inform schools about cases of students violating traffic safety order.

The People's Committee of Nghe An province requested the authorities to strictly handle cases of traffic safety violations during the National Day holiday on September 2 and the peak month of student safety on the way to school. The handling spirit must be resolute and persistent, with no forbidden areas and no exceptions.

The National Day holiday on September 2, 2024 (from August 31, 2024 to September 3, 2024) and September are the peak months for traffic safety for students going to school, opening the new school year 2024-2025. Traffic volume is forecasted to increase, posing a potential risk of traffic accidents and traffic jams.

In order to better serve the travel needs of the people during the National Day holiday on September 2, 2024; the peak month of traffic safety for students going to school and to implement Official Dispatch No. 81/CD-TTg dated August 20, 2024 of the Prime Minister, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 32 (dated August 28, 2024) requesting all levels and sectors to deploy many solutions to ensure traffic safety.

The Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Police to direct local police and units to strengthen patrolling, controlling, and strictly handling violations of traffic safety and order in the spirit of respecting the law, handling them resolutely and persistently, with no forbidden areas and no exceptions.

Focus on handling violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents such as violations of alcohol and drug concentration regulations, speeding violations; proactively prevent, stop and strictly handle acts of gathering to disturb public order, illegal racing; resolutely handle and suppress those who act against law enforcement officers; increase the force to regulate, reasonably divide traffic, and guide safe and smooth traffic, especially on routes and areas that are forecast to have high traffic volume during the National Day holiday.

At the same time, continue to advise and seriously and effectively implement the Party and State's guidelines and policies on ensuring traffic order and safety and Directive No. 31/CT-TTg dated December 21, 2023 of the Prime Minister on "Strengthening the work of ensuring traffic order and safety for school-age children in the new situation",...

Accordingly, along with patrolling and controlling, the police force coordinates with the Department of Education and Training to strengthen propaganda and instruct students on safe traffic skills. The official dispatch of the Provincial People's Committee also requires the Traffic Police and Commune Police to strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety order in school areas. The handling process according to authority needs to promptly inform the school about cases of violations by students so that appropriate forms of education, reminders and handling can be taken.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Transport and all levels and sectors to strengthen the work of ensuring transportation conditions, best serving the travel needs of people during the holidays, avoiding congestion at bus stations and train stations. Strengthen propaganda and education on traffic order and safety laws, raise awareness of law compliance for all classes of people, in order to ensure traffic safety during the holidays and the new school year.
