Today, May 12, 4 French volunteers and nearly 50 French students from grades 9 to 12 cleaned up trash at Cua Lo beach.
Camille This, a French volunteer who came up with the idea for the environmental activity, said the activity, called “Pansons la planète” (Clean the planet), had been called for on Facebook for several weeks.

The activity lasted all day. In the morning, students and volunteers walked along the beach picking up trash. In the afternoon, students participated in games, learned new words, and learned to speak French about the environment.
The aim of the activity is to clean up the environment and create a playground and fun moments with students. “We want to bring to students ideas on green living, respecting the environment, living in harmony with the planet and treating animals better,” Camille said.

Sibylle Découflet, a French volunteer, said this was the first time she had participated in a beach cleaning program with everyone. The reason for choosing Cua Lo beach as the place to clean up trash was because it is a famous beach in Nghe An.
Since volunteering in Vietnam, Sibylle and her friends have seen that garbage is a "problem" not only in Nghe An in particular but also in Vietnam in general, especially at the beaches.
“Because we love Vietnam so much, we want everyone to be able to go to the beach to feel the freshness of nature. We are very satisfied with today's results,” Sibylle shared.
