August 21, 1945 became a milestone in the history of Nghe An Party Committee when the provisional revolutionary government of the province introduced itself to the people, established a revolutionary government; the colonial and feudal government apparatus was overthrown. 71 years have passed, the province has undergone many great changes, achieved many achievements in many fields, especially in the renovation period. In that journey, the echoes and successful lessons of the August Revolution have become invaluable luggage. That is the lesson of seizing opportunities; building, consolidating and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; promoting national strength with the strength of the times under the leadership of the Party.

The Provincial Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term with the theme: "Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Development" has set the goal of building Nghe An into a prosperous province in the Northern region. The success of the 18th Provincial Party Congress and the Party Congresses at all levels, the election of the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term has demonstrated Nghe An province's strong determination to rise up. In particular, the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels together with the implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An province until 2020 with clearly set goals further affirms that this is an extremely important period for Nghe An to truly escape poverty and rise up worthy of its revolutionary tradition, potential and advantages.

That spirit spreads to all party committees in the entire provincial Party Committee with an exciting and united atmosphere. Nam Giang commune of Nam Dan district is a typical example. From a purely agricultural locality, with the joint efforts and consensus of the people, Nam Giang has made remarkable progress. In the area, 2 industrial clusters with an area of ​​58.5 hectares have been planned, currently attracting 3 enterprises to invest, creating stable jobs for more than 6,000 workers every year. Along with that, the commune focuses on directing the strong development of rattan and bamboo weaving, wood painting, stone painting, civil carpentry, etc., contributing to increasing people's income and bringing the commune's industry to account for 44.3%. Economic development and improved people's lives are also the key for Nam Giang to reach the goal of building a new countryside in 2014. Comrade Tran Huu Van - Secretary of the Party Committee of Nam Giang commune shared: "The consensus and participation of the people are the prerequisites for success. The whole commune has mobilized people to donate 8,500m2 of land, more than 5,000 working days; contributing nearly 66.2 billion VND to building a new countryside". With that spirit, the whole province now has 114 communes and 1 district-level unit meeting the new countryside standards. Recently, Nam Giang commune was honored to welcome Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to visit.

In Tan Ky district, with the goal of becoming a fairly developed district in the Western Nghe An region by 2020, the locality has developed 22 programs, projects, resolutions, and implementation plans. Comrade Pham Van Hoa - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Tan Ky District People's Committee said: The key orientation for socio-economic development in the coming time is to promote economic restructuring towards industrialization, improve land use efficiency, labor productivity, and restructure labor in a reasonable manner; continue to maintain and develop the processing industry; exploit and process construction materials; develop the district's central trade system...

On a general level, the whole province, with high determination and spirit of solidarity to strive to complete socio-economic goals, has made clear changes in many aspects; especially after 3 years of implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo. According to the report of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong to the working delegation of the Prime Minister recently: Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the period of 2014 - 2016 increased by an average of 7.59%. Average income per capita in 2016 is estimated at 31 million VND. Budget revenue in 2015 reached over 10,000 billion VND. Vinh City is also being focused on building itself into a center of the North Central region in many fields. To achieve these results, the province continues to focus on implementing 3 strategic breakthroughs, which are building key infrastructure, training and developing human resources, and administrative reform. Thereby, better serving the development process whose target is the people and businesses. On the other hand, the province has carried out the work of supporting and developing businesses, up to now there are 15,200 registered businesses. In 3 years of implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo, 406 projects with registered capital of nearly 145,000 billion VND have also been attracted to Nghe An, including many large-scale projects with spillover effects...

Nghe An also received great support and attention from the Central Government. Many delegations of Party and State leaders, central ministries and branches have continuously visited Nghe An, orienting and suggesting many development solutions for the province with the hope that Uncle Ho's hometown will soon become a prosperous province in the North as he always wished during his lifetime.

Vinh Airport has become an international airport.

During his recent visit to Nghe An, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that Nghe An needs to take more drastic actions to become a prosperous province. To do so, it is necessary to build an administrative apparatus that serves, creates development, is honest, cares for people's lives, and cares for the legitimate interests of businesses.

These are also the contents that in the past time, the Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh, the Provincial People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Xuan Duong and the provincial leaders have focused on directing the political system in the province and creating positive changes. With such practical movements and high determination in the spirit of solidarity and consensus of the Party Committee, government and people of the province, looking back at the past 71 years since the historic milestone of the success of the August Revolution in 1945, it is both a milestone marking a great turning point of revival for the entire nation, affirming the belief for the province to continue to move forward firmly on the path of innovation, towards the goal: rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
