Young girl accused of theft had her ear cut off and was brutally beaten

A group of young men carrying weapons brutally beat a young girl and injured two others just because she dared to report a theft.

On the morning of April 3, a police officer from Ward 10, Tan Binh District (HCMC) confirmed that he had reported the incident of a young woman being brutally beaten by a group of young men at a milk tea shop located at the beginning of alley 133 Ni Su Huynh Lien Street (Ward 10, Tan Binh District) to the Tan Binh District Police Command for coordination in investigation and handling.

According to initial information, at around 8:00 p.m. on March 30, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Truc (born 2001, residing in Tan Binh district) was helping sell milk tea in her family's shop when Phan Thi Cam H., residing near her house, led a group of about 20 young men carrying sticks, knives and other weapons to cause trouble.

When they entered the shop, they attacked and beat H mercilessly. Then, the three subjects held Truc down while H used a knife to cut Truc's right ear almost off, slashed her face many times and threatened to cut the tendons in Truc's right leg, but the victim struggled so the three cuts only caused injuries.

Not stopping there, when Truc's sister Phan Ngoc Tu (born 2000) and a man named Huy jumped in to stop them, they were also beaten and seriously injured. After committing the crime, H.'s group quickly left the scene. At this time, the people around and the family took Truc, Tu and Huy to the Tan Phu District Hospital for emergency treatment.

Tu had to get 1 stitch in the back of his head and 1 stitch in his left ear. Huy had to get 16 stitches in his forehead, ear, etc. Both have been discharged from the hospital and returned home. Truc, due to severe injuries, had to be transferred to Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital, Eye Hospital, and Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for emergency treatment. Currently, Truc has to get 14 stitches in her left eyebrow, 14 stitches in the back of her head, 8 stitches in her right ear to reconnect her almost severed ear, and 3 cuts in her leg. Most worryingly, one of Truc's eyes was diagnosed with a ruptured cornea, which could potentially have serious consequences later on.

It is known that the reason for this murder was because Truc dared to accuse someone in H.'s group of stealing Truc's car and trying to sell it. The case is currently under investigation.
