Captured 2 "bosses" specializing in supplying drugs to nightclubs

On the evening of March 13, Hai Chau District Police (Da Nang City) announced that they were detaining Le Xuan Tien (24 years old, residing in An Hai Tay Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City) and Truong Huu Nhan (25 years old, residing in Hoa Tien Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City) for the act of "Illegal drug trafficking".

Previously, on March 12, detectives from the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Hai Chau District Police discovered Le Xuan Tien driving his girlfriend on Nguyen Chi Thanh Street (Hai Chau 1 Ward) with suspicious signs, so they asked him to stop the car.

Upon inspection, the police discovered that Tien was in possession of two packages of Ketamine and ten ecstasy pills. Tien confessed that he was selling the drugs to drug addicts when he was discovered.

Immediately after that, an emergency search warrant was carried out at the suspect’s residence. During the search, detectives from the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Hai Chau District Police seized 87 more ecstasy pills, 8 packages of Ketamine and some drug paraphernalia.

Working with the police, Tien initially confessed that he bought the drugs from Truong Huu Nhan.

From Tien's confession and the intelligence source, the police quickly deployed reconnaissance teams to capture Truong Huu Nhan while he was driving his girlfriend on Tran Thi Ly bridge. At the time of arrest, Nhan was in possession of a package of drugs.

At the police station, Tien, Nhan and 2 girlfriends all tested positive for drugs.

According to their confession, Tien and Nhan bought drugs in bulk to resell for profit and their customers were mainly party-goers in bars and nightclubs.

According to Hai Chau District Police, 3 months ago, the reconnaissance force discovered that the situation of drug smuggling into bars, pubs, and nightclubs for party-goers was becoming more complicated, especially with a number of new drug "bosses" emerging.

The district police assigned the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team to preside over the investigation. During the investigation and verification process, detectives in the investigation team determined that Truong Huu Nhan and Le Xuan Tien had many suspicions of drug trafficking activities.

In particular, the two often went to bars, nightclubs and were always with beautiful women, most of whom were waitresses, bar and karaoke waitresses... so they were monitored and caught red-handed.

On the afternoon of March 13, the Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee awarded the investigation team 10 million VND.
