The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that industrial production in November 2015 continued to grow well compared to the same period in 2014. The index of industrial production (IIP) increased by 1.5% compared to the previous month and by 8.9% compared to the same period in 2014.

In the first 11 months of 2015, the industrial production index increased by 9.7% compared to the same period last year, much higher than the increase in the same period in the last 2 years. In which, the processing and manufacturing industry, mining industry; electricity production and distribution, water supply and wastewater and waste treatment all increased.

Some industries with high production index in 11 months compared to the same period last year include production of electronic products, computers and optical products; production of motor vehicles; production of leather and related products. Some industries with low growth include mining of hard coal and lignite; production of tobacco; production of clothing; production of medicine, pharmaceutical chemicals and pharmaceutical materials.

However, the consumption index of the entire processing and manufacturing industry in October increased compared to the same period in 2014. In the first 10 months of 2015, the consumption index of the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 12.8% compared to the same period in 2014.

Among them, the industries with a fairly high growth rate in consumption index include the production of electronic products, computers and optical products; production of motor vehicles; production of metals; production of leather and related products...

In addition, some industries with low growth or decrease in consumption index compared to the same period are tobacco production; production of prefabricated metal products (except machinery and equipment); textile; and production of means of transport.

Due to positive consumption, the inventory situation of the processing and manufacturing industry continued to remain lower than the same period in 2014. At the beginning of November, the inventory index of the entire processing and manufacturing industry increased by 9.7% compared to the same period in 2014 (0.5 percentage points lower than the same period in 2014).

In particular, the inventory index of some industries decreased compared to the same period such as tobacco product manufacturing; paper and paper product manufacturing; other means of transport manufacturing... Some industries with inventory indexes increasing much higher than the general increase are beverage manufacturing; leather and related products manufacturing; electronic products, computers and optical products manufacturing; motor vehicle manufacturing...

According to the assessment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, industrial production in the first 11 months of this year grew quite well compared to the same period in the last 2 years. The electricity production and distribution industry and the processing and manufacturing industry were the industries that contributed the most to the overall growth of the entire industrial sector.
