General Secretary sends thank you message to Cuban President Raul Castro

On the evening of March 30 (local time), General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Santiago de Cuba, successfully concluding their State visit to the Republic of Cuba. At the end of the visit, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a message of thanks to Comrade Raul Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba.

The full text of the telegram reads: Leaving the heroic and hospitable city of Santiago, the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation and I are very excited and happy about the good results of the State visit to the Republic of Cuba. The visit left us with deep feelings, profound impressions, and vivid evidence of the special relationship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Cuba.

I would like to send to you, and through you, to the leaders of the Party, State and people of Cuba, my sincere thanks for the warm, friendly, and comradely reception filled with brotherly affection during your visit to the Republic of Cuba.

I wish the fraternal Cuban people, under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba, to continue to gain even greater achievements in the cause of updating the socio-economic model and successfully realizing the goal of building a prosperous and sustainable socialist Cuba.

May the exemplary comradely and brotherly relationship, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and loyal solidarity between the two Parties, two States, and peoples of Vietnam and Cuba be further consolidated and developed./.
