General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong begins state visit to the Republic of Cuba
According to the special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, on the afternoon of March 28, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in the capital Havana, starting a state visit to the Republic of Cuba at the invitation of First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers Raul Castro Ruz.

Comrade Esteban Lazo Hernández, Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly, and many officials of the Cuban Party and Government came to the foot of the plane's stairs to warmly welcome General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Nguyen Trung Thanh, along with a large number of officials, staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Cuba, were present at the airport to welcome General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the delegation.
During his visit from March 28-31, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will hold talks and meetings with senior leaders of the Cuban Party and State, discussing measures to strengthen and further enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.
The visit aims to continue to demonstrate the consistent solidarity and friendship between the Party, State and people of Vietnam and the Party, State and people of Cuba; strengthen political trust and promote cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and investment between the two countries./.
