The total value of the Provincial Red Cross's activities in 2016 reached 40 billion VND.
(Baonghean.vn)- On the morning of January 18, the Red Cross Society summarized the work of the Society and the Red Cross Movement in 2016 and deployed tasks for 2017.
In 2016, the Provincial Red Cross Society has done a good job in preventing and responding to natural disasters; providing emergency and regular relief; providing health care; and donating blood voluntarily... which has created a high impact in society, attracting many classes to participate. Up to now, the whole province has mobilized and received 28,755 units of blood; reaching 127% of the year's target. During the year, the total value of the Society's activities reached more than 40 billion VND.

The conference also discussed and agreed on the direction of activities for 2017: Continue to concretize and implement the Resolution of the Provincial Red Cross Congress, term VIII, 2016 - 2021; Promote the movement "Tet for the poor and victims of Agent Orange"; the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address; continue to implement the "Cow Bank" project; loan project to support livelihoods for poor families; community-based risk reduction project with gender integration sponsored by the Norwegian Red Cross...
On this occasion, 32 groups and 33 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Red Cross Association; 3 groups and 2 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the Association's work and the Red Cross movement.
