On the morning of June 18, the Nghe An Provincial Election Committee held an online conference to summarize the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term in Nghe An province.

QUALITY AND QUALIFICATIONS OF ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES ARE IMPROVED

The general assessment shows that the election in the province was a great success, with a voter turnout of 98.93%. This is the election with the highest voter turnout compared to recent terms. The election was truly democratic, fair, and objective. People enthusiastically and excitedly participated, and it was truly a festival for all people.

The preparation of facilities, equipment, documents, seals, ballots, propaganda work, professional training, handling of complaints related to the election; security, order and social safety before, during and after the election day are absolutely guaranteed.

The organization of the election day was carried out quite carefully and methodically by localities, from organizing the opening ceremony to guiding voters to vote. The propaganda, reporting and news reporting on the election progress were carried out well in most localities.

The election results ensured the number of 13/13 National Assembly deputies, reaching 100%; 83/83 provincial People's Council deputies, reaching 100%; 736/737 district People's Council deputies, reaching 99.86%; 10,890/10,991 commune People's Council deputies, reaching 99.08%. The basic structure and composition met the requirements; the quality and professional qualifications of the deputies were raised higher than in previous terms.

Detailed list of elected delegates to the People's Council of Nghe An province, term XVIII, 2021 - 2026

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 28, 2021, the Nghe An Provincial Election Committee announced the list of 83 elected delegates to the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 (Resolution No. 120/NQ-UBBC).

LESSONS OF PROACTIVE, DEEP AND UNITY

At the conference, delegates shared the same assessment that the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term in the province was successful in many aspects.

According to Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy, the election had three major results. First of all, it was popular, demonstrated by the people's trust, support, and active participation in election activities. The people trusted so much that the election rate was high, the quality of delegates was improved, and the number of petitions about the election was very low. In particular, the people's trust was also shown in the spirit of excitement and expectation for the election.

"In my opinion, the people's trust is an extremely important asset, the foundation for the province's development in the present period, as well as in the future," the head of the Provincial Party Committee expressed and emphasized.

The election also ensured security, order and safety; the health of the people, officials and party members in the context of the epidemic; the election was organized in accordance with the law, without violations.

From the recent election, valuable lessons have been drawn for the leadership, direction and management of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; the Steering Committee, the Provincial Election Committee and all levels, and the election teams. That is the lesson of being proactive, thorough, and united in direction and action.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Election Steering Committee, the Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of Party committees at all levels, People's Councils, People's Committees, Fatherland Front and mass organizations; steering committees, committees, units, election boards and teams at all levels; all cadres, party members, people and voters in the whole province. All have been united, united, and promoted their intelligence to contribute to the success of the election.

In addition to the achieved results, the Head of the Provincial Election Steering Committee frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the direction and organization of the recent election.

Regarding some tasks that need to be focused on in the coming time, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy suggested that units that have not yet organized the first session of the People's Council need to focus on organizing carefully, in accordance with regulations, ensuring consistent personnel orientation from the Party Congress to the present.

Complete the confirmation of delegate qualifications and issue delegate certificates to elected delegates; direct the implementation of policies and regimes for delegates who are not re-elected; organize rewards for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

For elected National Assembly deputies in the province and elected People's Council deputies at all levels, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that they should immediately start implementing the action program; strive to fulfill the responsibilities and powers of a people's representative and a citizen to actively contribute to the implementation of political tasks of agencies, units and localities.

Currently, due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Provincial Party Secretary requested to focus on implementing the epidemic prevention and control work at the highest level with the spirit of: timely, drastic, synchronous and relying on the people to defeat the epidemic, stabilize the situation, ensure people's health; at the same time, continue to develop the socio-economy, complete the targets assigned by the Provincial People's Council in 2021 - the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and Party congresses at all levels.

On this occasion, the Provincial Emulation and Reward Committee announced the decision of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to award Certificates of Merit to 46 collectives and 77 individuals for their outstanding achievements in directing and serving the election; 5 collectives and 5 individuals were proposed to be awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister.
