President Assad said Russia never tried to impose its decisions on Syria. |
According to him, the policy of the Russian Federation "is based on respect for the principles of sovereignty and non-interference in the affairs of other countries." At the same time, Mr. Assad said that between the leaders of the two countries, contact is maintained on a daily basis.
Assessing Russia's role in the fight against widespread terrorism in the Middle East, Mr. Assad stressed that Moscow "does not ask for anything in exchange for their assistance to the Syrian army."
Mr. Assad also said that the victory of the Syrian government forces over the armed groups in Aleppo would completely change the military situation in the whole country. "Aleppo will completely change the course of military action in the whole of Syria, and it means: it is the defeat of the opponents in the region and also the West," Mr. Assad declared.
A series of victories by Syrian government forces in many vanguard positions allows us to anticipate the completion of the campaign to liberate eastern Aleppo in the coming days./.
