President Biden says Ukraine will not be accepted into NATO
US President Joe Biden said Ukraine will not be accepted into NATO, even after the conflict ends.

According to RIA Novosti, in an interview with Time on June 4, US President Joe Biden said that Ukraine may not become a NATO member after the end of the current conflict.
“Peace in Ukraine seems to ensure that Russia will never occupy Ukraine. That is peace. And that does not mean they are part of NATO. It means that we have a relationship with them, as with other countries, where we provide weapons so they can defend themselves in the future,” President Joe Biden said.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in late May 2024 that Ukraine may not join NATO for the next 30 years. The head of NATO's military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, said in March that the issue of Ukraine's membership in the alliance had been resolved, but discussions were still underway about "when this will happen and what is needed for this."
Meanwhile, US Permanent Representative to NATO Julianne Smith said in late April that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be invited to the NATO summit scheduled to take place in Washington in July, as the topic of Ukraine will be a key issue at the summit. At the same time, Julianne Smith made it clear that Ukraine is not expected to join NATO at this summit.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said he does not expect an agreement on Ukraine's membership at the upcoming summit./.
