US President Donald Trump appoints new White House Chief of Staff
On July 28, US President Donald Trump replaced White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus after 6 months.
The person appointed to this position is retired general John Kelly. President Trump announced this decision on his personal page on July 28 after the new communications director Anthony Scaramucci accused Mr. Reince Priebus of leaking information to the press.

President Trump's decision came as his plane landed after a visit to Long Island. Mr Priebus was also on the plane and did not comment.
President Trump is said to have lost confidence in Mr. Priebus after several important bills failed to pass in Congress. New White House Chief of Staff John Kelly was previously Secretary of Homeland Security./.
