Russian President Putin comments on the dismissal of FBI Director Comey

The firing of FBI chief Comey does not affect the Russian-American partnership, Russia has nothing to do with it, President Putin told CBS television correspondent.

"Yes, it does not affect. Your question seems funny to me, please do not be angry. We have nothing to do with it," Putin said in response to a question about the impact of the dismissal of FBI Director Comey on Russia-US bilateral relations.

"President Trump acts within the scope of his powers according to the constitution and the law. We have nothing to do with it. You see, I'm going to play hockey," the Russian leader added.

President Vladimir Putin then put on his skates and headed to a hockey game during the Hockey Night tournament in Sochi.
