(Baonghean.vn) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree including 97 points on national development goals until 2030, focusing on priority tasks including population preservation, people's welfare, economic sustainability, and technological leadership.

As part of President Putin's decree, it is expected to increase life expectancy in Russia to 81 years, and ensure that each Russian citizen is provided with at least 33 square meters of living space per person by 2030, and at least 38 square meters per person by 2036.

In addition, the minimum wage is ordered to double in 6 years - to 35,000 rubles per month, and pensions at a level not lower than the inflation rate. Reduce the poverty rate in Russia to below 7% by 2040 and below 5% by 2036.

President Putin outlined the goal of bringing the economy into the world's top four in terms of purchasing power parity, achieving GDP growth above the world average, and no later than 2030. This result must be achieved by increasing labor productivity while maintaining macroeconomic stability and low unemployment.

The Presidential Decree also sets out that by 2030, Russia will be among the world's top 10 countries in scientific research and development.

On May 7, after his inauguration, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree "On the goals of national development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030, with a view to 2036". The decree is aimed at "sustainable economic and social development of Russia, strengthening the country's sovereignty, culture, values ​​and economy, increasing the country's population and improving the living standards of its citizens".

To achieve the set goals, President Putin instructed the Government to adjust existing national projects, and introduce 11 new ones by September 1, 2024, such as: "Sustainable and Active Life", "Family", "Youth and Children", "Infrastructure for Life", "Efficient Transport System", "Social Welfare", "Efficient and Competitive Economy", "Tourism and Hospitality", "International Cooperation and Export", as well as "Data Economy and Digital Transformation".

"We confidently look to the future, plan and implement new projects and programs to make the country develop more dynamically. We are a united and great people, and together we will overcome all obstacles and realize our plans. Let's win together" - President Putin sent a message in his speech at the inauguration ceremony.
