President Putin let the black student pinch him

Russian President Vladimir Putin asked a Nigerian schoolboy to pinch him after the boy did not believe the man standing in front of him was the Russian leader.

According to RT, the incident took place on October 19 when President Putin met and talked with students at the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students held in the Russian city of Sochi.

The appearance of President Putin surprised the guests here. “I was overwhelmed. I couldn’t believe I was standing in front of the Russian President,” said a Nigerian student named Edostrey.

However, Mr. Putin quickly helped this student overcome his doubts and disbelief in himself. “Come here, pinch me,” President Putin said.

Edostrey seemed hesitant at the suggestion, forcing President Putin to pinch the student to the amusement of the crowd.

Guests at the festival then peppered the Russian leader with questions. One student asked what he remembered most about his youth. Putin replied humorously: “My youth is long gone. I don’t remember anything.” He then said that his memories of his youth were mostly about sporting events. “They are my most vivid memories,” Putin said.

At the festival, President Putin also received many gifts from international students. The festival is expected to last until October 22 with the participation of about 30,000 people.
