President Putin sends congratulatory message to Mr. Biden on his victory in the US election
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to Joe Biden on his victory in the US presidential election, noting that cooperation based on mutual respect will meet the interests of the peoples of the two countries and the whole world, the Kremlin press service reported.

According to the results of the electoral vote, Democratic candidate Biden received 306 votes compared to 232 votes of the Republican Party. The current head of the White House Donald Trump does not recognize the election results. The results of the electoral vote must be approved by Congress on January 6.
"President of the Russian Federation Putin sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Joe Biden on his victory in the presidential election of the United States of America... The Russian President noted thatRussia-US cooperationbased on the principles of equality and mutual respect will serve the interests of the people of the two countries and the entire international community," the message said.
