President Putin affirms Russia can help resolve the Israel-Palestine conflict
(Baonghean.vn) - Not only accusing the US of inciting escalating tensions in the Middle East, Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that Moscow can contribute to resolving the Israel-Palestine conflict.

According to the Russian news agency TASS, in an interview with the Arabic news agency al-Ghad TV, President Vladimir Putin said: “We have very strong trade relations with Israel. Along with that, we have had friendly relations with Palestine for many decades. In my opinion, Russia can play its role in the process of resolving the conflict between Israel and Palestine.”
President Putin said the severity of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was “unprecedented and not seen anywhere else.”
Previously, on October 11, speaking at the plenary session of the Russian Energy Week in Moscow, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani called on President Putin to initiate a ceasefire in the Middle East.
“Mr. President, I call on you, as the president of a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, to take the initiative for a genuine ceasefire and find a positive solution to the Palestinian issue,” said Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani.
Russian analysts say that in the context of the ever-simmering conflict between Israel and Palestine, the great powers are facing the opportunity to maintain and expand their influence, as well as increase their interests in the Middle East.
Unlike the United States and other Western countries, Russia does not consider Hamas a terrorist organization. And in previous conflicts, Russia has hosted Hamas delegations to discuss peace efforts. On the other hand, with Israel, the Kremlin has made every effort to build a partnership.
With a neutral position, Moscow can be confident that it will have an influence on the reconciliation process between Israel and Palestine./.
