President Putin sets conditions for ending conflict with Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated that among the conditions Russia has put forward is the requirement that the Ukrainian army must completely withdraw from the territories that have voted in a referendum to join Russia.

According to RIA Novosti, at a press conference after talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on July 5 in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that among the conditions Russia put forward was the requirement that the Ukrainian army must completely withdraw from the territories that had voted in a referendum to join Russia.
“Russia fully supports the end of the conflict. We are talking about the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions,” President Putin said.
On the Hungarian side, Prime Minister Viktor Orban pointed out that his meeting with the Russian leader took place “at a time when Europe really needs peace”. And peace “will not come by itself, you need to work for it”.
“I want to hear and hear opinions on three important issues. Namely: on peace initiatives, the sequence of ceasefire and peace negotiations, the vision of post-war Europe. These sequences are currently far apart – this is what I hear in both Kiev and Moscow,” Prime Minister Orban stressed.
The Russian president reiterated that Moscow is always ready for a political and diplomatic solution. However, Putin said, “on the other side, there is a reluctance to resolve the issue peacefully.” Kiev’s patrons continue to use Ukraine in their confrontation with Russia.
According to President Putin, the reason for the dilemma is also because he does not want to lift martial law, because then elections will have to be held./.
