(Baonghean.vn)- Russia is ready to return to the grain agreement, but only if countries actually fulfill all their obligations to Russia. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in a video speech at the BRICS Summit.

"Since July 18, we have refused to extend the so-called grain agreement and are ready to return. But only if the countries really fulfill all their obligations to the Russian side," Putin stressed. "None of the conditions of the so-called agreement on the withdrawal of sanctions on the export of Russian grain and fertilizers to the world market have been fulfilled. The commitments to Russia on this issue have been ignored," Putin said.

"Russia is deliberately hindered in supplying grain and fertilizers abroad, and we are hypocritically accused of the current crisis situation on world markets. This is clearly demonstrated in the implementation of the so-called grain agreement, which was concluded with the participation of the UN Secretariat and was originally aimed at ensuring global food security, reducing the risk of hunger and helping the poorest countries," Putin said.

In addition, in his speech, President Putin called the process of de-dollarization of economic relations between BRICS countries irreversible, and the share of the dollar in BRICS import and export transactions is gradually decreasing.

“The process of objective and irreversible de-dollarization of our economic relations is being accelerated, efforts are being made to develop effective mechanisms for mutual settlements, as well as monetary and financial control of BRICS, which is decreasing: last year this figure was only 28.7%,” Putin said in a video address to participants of the BRICS business forum. BRICS includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, but recently at least 19 countries have expressed their desire to join this economic bloc, including Argentina, Iran, Algeria, Tunisia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Egypt./.
