President Putin: The West will get tired of sanctions against Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Russian business leaders that Western countries will become “tired” of their own sanctions against Russia, warning that the bans will eventually backfire.

Speaking at a meeting of the Russian Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on February 9, Russian President Putin stressed that restrictive policies generally put an end to international relations, leading to lost opportunities and causing direct losses, including for those who initiated such policies.
However, the Russian president expressed hope that the West's relations with Russia would soon improve.
