"Biden, who is weak and ineffective. President Xi laughs at people like that. I would say: President Xi, President Putin, they all go to bed praying that Joe Biden or someone like him becomes president so they can tear our country apart," President Trump told reporters on July 12.
He reiterated that he had imposed tariffs on Chinese goods, eliminated the trade imbalance with China and contributed to the development of American companies so that Beijing would not "rip off" the country.
Earlier, President Trump said Washington would continue to negotiate with Beijing on trade issues and would not impose new tariffs on $350 billion worth of Chinese goods.
